Perth Mint Dragons, 2024

These are the First 5 released.
I know there was a lot I could have said in the video.. IE how the Perth mint are acting like another Mint..... but then again I think this video is honest and sums up my views rather well.
Do you agree. I like the designs.. but I feel for those who have spent a lot of money on the proofs only for these to then come out.

It's as you say @Admin , there are just too many of these dragons from the Perth Mint. This series is the one that should have come out first, or at least after the Lunar Series Dragon. To release, effectively, a series of ten coins so late is in my view showing contempt for their customers. It's rather like the football strip scandal - a new outfit every few weeks that the clubs know the fans will stump up for. Of course, if these had been released first it would have likely impacted on sales of the carded versions. Not to mention the boxed set of 1/2 oz versions.
Having got that off my chest, they are rather gorgeous coins and do make a lovely set. I would be up for them if I hadn't already got an awful lot of nice things this year, with more on the way (thank you Martin, she said through gritted teeth).

I love these coins, Trays favourites too I remember. The whole world loves a dragon.
Why is QEII on the coins rather than KCIII?
Were these designed when she was here?
When will we see the other 5 to complete the 10 coin set?

You hit it on the head... yes they were designed a while ago.. they got the proofs, in 1oz and 1/2 oz out.. then they just started making the carded versions.. and now they are releasing the BU on the same dies.
So thats why it makes no sense to buy the proof versions.... and these are a fraction of the cost... people are starting to dump quickly the proof versions.... ie those who are trying to flip them.
