My partner always says that maybe cats are the aliens and they have already taken over, enslaving mankind.... so that being said, maybe this shows the cats coming down to earth rather than being abducted!?

Your partner seem to have a good grasp of cats' character @ilank14 . They have certainly taken over, but it looks a bit disorganised to be an invasion by their Imperial Majesties. There's no red carpet or throngs of acolytes on their knees bearing cream and smoked salmon.
