Nice enough round but as you say it's just a leaf, Germania does plenty of other stuff at the same kind of price I think I'd want to buy first.

I can't agree with you there @Rod Panhard , I think the leaves are exquisite and the four together will be fantastic. Apart from the Beasts, I can't think of any other of the Germania Mint coins that I would want, even though the quality is superb.
Just goes to show that taste is utterly individual.

It's a lovely set, I have all the sets apart from warriors. All the forest are good detailed coins. Least favourite set is Allegories, but do like polonia one. The new Germania could be worth a look, the last one was pretty good

Cats prefer to have scritches behind the ears!

We all have our own preferences. Wait until Wednesday ... you will see TCM hate the coin.

Not Eric Bloodaxe? Or is it yet more scrapings from the Marvel/DC Comics barrel? If the latter, you're right.Admin wrote:We all have our own preferences. Wait until Wednesday ... you will see TCM hate the coin.

Wait - it isn't the Mickey and Minnie Valentine is it? Sick bag provided with every coin.

I agree 100%. I will leaf this collection, and branch out into others. I collect so many that I need to nip it in the bud. I should try understand the root of my collecting habits, or maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree? I’ve hedged my bets by collecting lots of Australian coins. But people’s tastes can be a thorny subject.

@ArcaneCollector , that's a bit of a sappy argument bud and I'm stumped how you could raise it. You probably have a trunk full of Australian coins, but I'm happy to stick with my bijou collection, the crowning fruit of the minter's art.
I might log off now.
