You don't know what I look like @Admin ! I agree about the cat, my two would yowl all the way - and it's bad enough on the five minute drive to the vet. I really wouldn't want to take that all the way across to yours. I know a couple of firefighters, but I'm not sure I would describe them as model material, and at least one of them has a dog. Perhaps we ought to just accept that luscious young men are unlikely to appear on the coinage.

I'm up for this heavenly coin.

I'd love to see what's on the other side. My suspicions are that it's going to be a series about the Solar System, and will probably cost as much as a Saturn rocket.

They seem to be doing quite a few coins with Malta. With a few of their series finishing this year, going in a different direction will be interesting to see

I wonder what's on the other side too. Interestingly, Uranus and Neptune are not on the coin. Instead, the coat of arms fills in that area.
It's possible that Malta wants to pay homage to its ancient peoples who built megalithic temples there. Those temples are the subject of archeoastronomy. Maybe, one or more of their temples will be on the other side.

@Periodic Table made the very good point that the coin doesn't show Uranus or Neptune, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing the literature the Germania Mint will put out to describe the coin. Maybe he has a point about prehistory.

Because Uranus and Neptune can't be seen by the naked eye, I was thinking that the obverse would be a throwback to people thousands of years ago. I reckon I was reaching for the stars on this one, but it was fun.

It is totally different and I'd like to see the literature as TCM mentioned. The new Maltese Cross will be my first purchase for Malta.
