germania mint - Chameleon

In cooperation with Mint if Poland, first issue in a new series

I've just noticed that in my email in box, but as usual @tray you have beaten us all to it!
I'm not too sure about it, to be honest. The silver design looks good, but the chameleon is a bit iffy. Wonder if they'll do a quokka.

Don't know what you mean @denby . Quokkas just seem to keep cropping up in my posts. It's probably a hex put on me by @ArcaneCollector .

So the silver mine has a massive ore dump, pumps polluted water into the river, pristine habitats were crushed by bulldozers….but we used sustainable packaging, so it’s all alright.

Very true. We have China clay pits close to where I live and a pretty big working mineral mine The impact on the landscape is quite horrifying

Tray do not remind me of that post when I do another Germania coin... Gosh.... I will speak out for sure.

It's a good job. There's plenty more for us to spend our money without relying too much on Germania. They keep on like this. I'm going to save a fortune

Is there a plan for mine reclamations in your area? Or are those pictures the result of mine reclamations?

The video of this coin on Germania Mint's site is quite stunning. Other than the engraving on the topside of the box, the wood and jute bag lining is terrible. So much for sustainable packaging.

It looks much better in the video, being 2oz it will have a big price ticket

Still a working mine they are reclamations in areas but it's be there for years up until covid you could walk right into it. They had to fence it for safety reasons (people were taking small kids in it, that slush is dangerous) then there is a mineral mine it did close down but its reopened I was told they have a 3 years leased then it has to be returned back to natural state its huge

Sounds like a case of wait until the end of the three years and then apply for an extension and/or more limited works.

Based on the big expense you mentioned and the cheap box, I retract my comment that it's a no-brainer to buy it.
