In the Netherlands I buy a lot of silver bullions. I hear the premium, especially in the US, is very high. Does that also apply to the UK?

depending on what coin or round/ bar ... Piece of bullion you buy... Yes some can be stupidly high in price.
The premiums are a killer for sure.
