My Dear The Cat's Mother, there is no need to have an excuse or reason, I just happen to have logged onto the forum prior to others and figured I would take care of the birthday post I hope your kitty is ok, I know vet trips can be scary things for them and their owners.

He's fine, thanks. A nasty abscess on his neck, now drained and looking absolutely horrible - but better than the great swelling that appeared overnight. He's probably been fighting, or trying to catch something that fought back. Squirrels and rats have nasty bites and he's not quite as fast with the killing bite as his brother.
