Yip agree, @Mcb2007. Bad 'strike' or bad portrait . Which ever, it's not the best I've seen. The obverse is OK. Although if someone gave me it I wouldn't refuse.

It's part of the Westminster Mint's collection for the Platinum Jubilee, with the new Luigi Badia portrait on the reverse. I can't say I'm impressed either - it's the eyes! The perspective across the face is none too brilliant either, methinks. I don't think it's the strike as pictures of other coins with that portrait also look odd. At least the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait has been retained for the obverse. Oddly, Luigi Badia's portrait of the 'older' queen on (I think) the Isle of Man coin is a lot better.

The portrait on the jubilee coin is terrible , it probably represents the realisation what her second son and a certain displaced grandson has done to the to royal families reputation .
