Why pay a membership like on other sites? That is confusing me. lol

It could help grow membership if existing members, who have "You Tube" channels/websites, would inform their followers that this site is available to everyone free of charge, and state that they are members?.  And/or put the link to this site in the section below the vid's.        
It would also help if you could recommend on Facebook, or any other social media platform?
