DEX vanishes, funds recovery? Empty DEX vanishes, funds recovery?

Let's say you've been staking coins or tokens on a decentralized exchange (DEX) but the website has disappeared because it's a rug-pull scam or for some other reason. Is it possible to retrieve the crypto from the blockchain to your MetaMask or other wallet, if so how?

unless it was in your wallet.. and you have the ID number for each transaction or unit... I am under the impression of NO
