The best phone sat nav?

Any ideas on the best mobile phone app to use as a sat nav?
I was using Apple maps today which sent me the wrong way!
It’s a long story but it sent me the wrong way and added a considerable extension to my drive.

If anyone can recommend a phone sat nav app I would be grateful, I’m now thank of finding in the garage my old Tom Tom unit and updating the maps! I didn’t think I would have to use it ever again.

I've been using Google maps for years most of the time it's been great the last few weeks it's been awful and put us in some really bad places. I've had to start using my Garmin motorbike sat nav and even that one's been struggling a bit. I'm not sure if someone done something to the satellites hope it's fixed soon

I have never tried using Sat Nav on my phone, something else i need to get my non technical head round by the sounds of it

Not sure about an Iphone but with Android you can get Waze which is updated live by users, I like Here wego as well. All Sat navs can send you the wrong way you still have to use your head and not follow them blindly.

Google maps will do the trick, I’d you are happy for big brother to harvest your data. Waze is meant to be very good. If you search for petrol stations it even gives you the prices in your area. I use the built in satnav in my car but these two are the best apparently.

I have downloaded Waze to my iPhone and will try it out today
