mother in law jokes

Had the mother in law round for lunch today. My dog sat right at her feet, gazing up adoringly at her. She said, "That's so cute, is he really that fond of me?" I said, "No, it's just that you're eating off his plate."

I got on very well with my mother in law, possibly because she was just grateful that I took on TCF. One of the things she said to me shortly after TCF and I were married was: "If he ever says 'That's not how my mother does it', just tell him you're not his ruddy mother". We worked well together. TCF didn't stand a chance.
