The Cat's Mother wrote: @ArcaneCollector (may I call you Boris?) I'm not too keen on Picasso, but I love cats. Can I have him instead? Unfortunately, the address is in Central London and the congestion charge and all that stuff makes it too difficult for me to bring the van round. I had thought you were based in Northampton, but that's clearly an accommodation address. Could I ask you to meet up at the motorway services (we can agree which one later) with those portable perils to your spiritual health. I'll bring the bin liners.
PS Got any sapphires?
So when it comes to being a cat burglar, you take it literally! No sapphires but I have a few of those boring Rolex Submariners I was going to take to the charity shop. I prefer my Casio.

That's awfully sweet of you @ArcaneCollector , but the charity shop would likely appreciate them more than me since they're probably not digital. Perhaps I'll just stick with the bullion and the diamonds (my birthstone). Let me know the preferred M1 services, and we have a date. Does the cat get carsick?

@Admin whilst I admire the quality, engineering and finish of a Rolex, I am not impressed with how they manipulate it’s value by limiting sales. I read an article that describes how Rolex now decide if you are good enough to own one of their watches.
Being someone who appreciates the quality of a fine Swiss watch and wants value for money, I highly recommend Christopher Ward. I love their Trident series dive watches. Swiss movement, sapphire glass, ceramic bezel, wave textured dial, expert polishing and a good weight and wrist presence.

I know exactly what you mean, I still have a place in my heart for them. I don't know why exactly. I watched someone review a FAKE Daytona to a Real one... And so called experts couldn't tell the difference until they opened it up. What does that say about Rolex? And why am I still loving the brand? Again I have no idea. I hate Gimmicks. like the Pepsi bezel and some other stupid designs... but yeah I have a spot. And as for Diving watches... Well I use a dive computer.. LOL

@kimchi Interesting thread. I hadn’t realised they were popular and seem to attract a high premium. I just like the eagle design (and the buffalo design too). I plan to keep them, and admire them while wearing my MAGA hat with my dirty Southern Rock on too loud. Yee haw!
There's more to say on there, I have been trying to learn a bit more about it

If you do stop spending for a while I would say use your time to get as much knowledge under your belt you can about premiums and mintages etc of the major coins of interest to you. I talk from experience as this is exactly what I failed to do when starting out lol. It will help you spot opportunities

@kimchi It’s strange how a different pattern stamped into the same base material garners a different premium. I suppose that’s collectibility value vs pure metal value. Even if we all just bought melted blobs of gold/silver, some melted blobs will be more desirable than others!

@kimchi regarding low prices.. Put a thread ( NEW ) in the General Silver or gold category.
Links to places selling them cheaply are a benefit to all. As I mentioned to @ArcaneCollector I am surprised at the moment by the dip in silver, one would assume that Gold would be falling at the same rate.. But only Platinum and Palladium are falling rapidly. Hmm. Gold is hanging in there but I suspect it will drop as the spot price of Silver is now under £16! Yikes.... I will also say that I am not expecting anyone to buy the remaining silver.. Heck I will use it for melting if I run out.. but right now to EVERY MEMBER... You can buy silver cheaper... So there is a heads up.
Yes some of the Brits are collectable. I think there are 2 in my box that are really collectable.. but still... Buy SMART!

Hi Ace Bullion,
As previously mentioned, is it possible to buy some of your Australian crocodiles?
2x 2014
2x 2016
2x 2018
Are you okay with selling just 6 coins or do you need to sell a minimum number to make it worthwhile?
Thanks

No problem
I will take the same quantity as before
2014 crocs x2
2016 Roos x2
2018 Roos x2
I haven’t got any Roos but may as well start a new line!
I do love the crocs, maybe it’s because of an obsession with alligators and crocodiles in my childhood.
Let me know how you want to do payment, etc
Thanks
