My top-7 Silver Investment Coins
Thu Dec 02, 2021 2:45 pm
For quite some time I've been trying to spread my "ability" a little more.
Part of this is the purchase of gold and silver in the form of investment coins. I do this, among other things, to leave something tangible / valuable for my children and grandchildren. After all, I'm not the youngest anymore.
In addition to gold, I now also invest in silver coins.
Why? After all, they are quite affordable and beautiful to look at.
My Top-7
1. American Eagle
2. Maple Leaf
3. Mexican Libertad
4. Britannia
5. Krugerrand
6. Kangaroo
7. Vienna Philharmonic

Jos my top 7 silver coins have been as follows:-
Sun Jan 09, 2022 2:37 pm
I like your selection Jos you cant really go wrong holding any of them.
I have been collecting bullion since 2013, it has been a very interesting journey for me and now it has become a hobby. I am a 71 year old Scotsman so I want to stay occupied in enjoying my activities.
Since the first silver Krugerrand came out in 2017 they have become my number 1 investment coin.
I love the Chinese Panda selection next. Great quality coins which increase in value well over the years.
Then it is the Perth mint in Australia with the Kookaburra collection, they also change every year like the Panda and they too have appreciated well over time.
Dragons excite me too and I have collected them from 6 or 7 different world mints.
Collections like the Royal Mints 2oz Queen Beasts have also been a very lucrative investment.
And lastly, I like all of the different Lunar coins I have been able to source over the years as they make great gifts for family and friends alike.
Today I think that financially 2022 is going to be the best year since 2011 for all silver coin collectors on this forum.

Indeed. However, I remember my mother's comment when my grandmother (her mother-in-law), with whom she had an interesting relationship, turned 80: "Only the good die young". On that basis I reckon I'll make 210 by myself.

Hi Denby, I started stacking not too long ago. For myself but also for my grandchildren. I hope to interest them and teach them what real money is, and to be your own bank.
You and I apparently have a lot in common when it comes to preferences. Nice to hear. I hope and think that 2022 will be a good year for stacking.
Best wishes from Amsterdam.

Hi @JOS WRSM , do you want to do a listing of 101munten for the Directory? I've just had a look on their website, and they have an English language option and ship outside the EU, so members could be interested.JOS WRSM wrote:I just ordered 10 Phyllis. Year 2022. About 21,92 pounds now.![]()

Hi Jos,
Do you have to pay 20% VAT on silver coins in Holland like we do in the UK / Scotland?

No, you only pay 21% VAT on the premium and not on the silver coin in the Netherlands.

I would love to get my hands on plenty of buffalo/ Indian rounds,
Or any Generic silver. As i shown in my video on Wed. Not only are they a GREAT base for anyone's stack, but they can be used for my business. Like @ANT ORTA I melt down A LOT of silver.
So low cost silver is crucial to survive.

On the shipping information page it gives costs for the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany, but tells customers to contact them if they want to have their order shipped to another country. That might be worth doing and seeing what the costs are.

This is why we have members in every country. LOL ONLY KIDDING. we are not like that.
I will reach out and see if there is a limit or not, some stopped shipping outside the EU.
