Hi there
I don't stack gemstones, but I have bought loose stones and had them made into jewellery. I got some lovely opals in Australia, and for a significant birthday TCF took me over to Amsterdam and bought me a diamond (my birthstone), which is now in a pendant. I will confess that I have bought on eBay, but only from sellers in the UK, where I am, and I am lucky in having a friend who is a working manufacturing jeweller and silversmith who has checked them out, and who also made up the jewellery. All good so far, and I got very lucky with a rather nice pink sapphire that was on auction with a sp of £9.99 - and nobody else bid for it. My preferred seller is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association (I checked) and also has a business outside eBay.
Having said that I don't stack, I do have a few large madeira topaz stones that I haven't found a use for yet, so that might count as a stack.

I know that there are several gems out there and certain ones catch the ladies eyes lol was just courious if any did stack them in. I got my wife's diamond on auction at a good price. Thinking opals might be next on list of pretty gems to get.

I dont stack them or collect them I guess.. But I do have a collections of jewels and gems including diamonds. These are usually because I have broken down a piece of jewelry ( Gold mainly) and put them into a collection. What I will do with them .. who knows. It is a artists touch or perhaps just something to sell on later. I have no real collection as I said going. But I did think about buying Diamonds .
I do have gold nuggets. But those are not gems. LOL

OMG. I need to finish these dang things. I just put my FINAL work bench up today. Hence being well and truly behind.
So once the rest of the workshop is back, I should have no excuses. Really none.
Apart from ANYONE in the UK with a not used bandsaw?????
Mine caught on fire.
