No @Mike, he's just finishing off the washing up for you. The superior canine snout can sniff out any remaining scraps of something tasty. He'd probably agree to pre-wash them if you asked nicely.
He's looking in exceptionally good nick. You'll be able to ride him soon.

"Not wanting to take over the topic with pics of my dog but the little beggar just pinched some spreadable cheers when I opened the fridge and then bolted. Needless to say I didn’t use it"
Two questions @Mike :
1. Little?
2. Why not, it was in a closed tub?

@The Cat's Mother
Close, a good guess. I'll give you the point for the black one, as she is a Romanian rescue, so yes, Heinz, but the white one is tough! She's a pure breed.
And I agree on a personal level, cats are awesome (alas, my dogs don't feel the same way!).

@The Cat's Mother
I'm impressed. No fellow dog walker has ever got that right with her colouring. I will happily send you a pre-1920 half crown if you are happy privately sharing an address/forwarding address with me that I can send it to. A promise is a promise!

As a cat person, it's a case of 'know thy enemy'. Only joking, they do look lovely girls. It was the ears and tail on the White Lady that gave it away.
I'll release you from the bet @barnsaby. I enjoyed the challenge and am beyond smug that I got it right.

To be fair, that smug feeling is up there with precious metals collecting! I honestly didn't think anyone would get it. My wife is in shock too!

Well done @The Cat's Mother I would never have guessed that!
In keeping with the pets theme, I have now uploaded an Avatar. Alas, I had to say goodbye to my last cat, Millie, in 2020, but I love seeing photos of other people's cats (and dogs)

It's a fine avatar @Bondie. Cats rule!
We have two cats now, Raffles and his brother Caspar, coming up to 14. Our lovely ginger boy came to the end of the road towards the end of 2019, and he's still much missed.

Aw @The Cat's Mother, I'm so sorry to hear about your ginger boy... it's a real bereavement when we lose them

They have never forgotten that they used to be worshipped, by the only race of humans worthy to associate with cats. Once they learn how to open tins, we're toast.
