Great macro photo! I didn’t even know a 1/8th sovereign existed. Could it fit on a ring?

That's a fascinating find! I remember stumbling upon a small gold coin at a local flea market—it turned out to be a rare piece from the early 1900s. It's amazing how such tiny coins hold so much history. If you're into collecting, you might find more treasures on sites like copperstatecoin.com. I just love little gems like this. 

If you stumble across any 9ct or better golden scrap jewellery please shout... lol. I am after hallmarked pieces for melting.
