2023 Britannia King Charles, RUBBISH Empty 2023 Britannia King Charles, RUBBISH

The Royal Mint strikes again with its typical rubbish quality control. It is a shame but the coins in both gold and silver seem to be essentially scrap value metal.

Mine arrived today from Martin, along with a couple of 2023 QEII Britannias, and I must say they are pretty good quality - certainly compared to yours Jon. Perhaps he's more scared of the Cat.  2023 Britannia King Charles, RUBBISH 1f63d  2023 Britannia King Charles, RUBBISH 1f42f
Good video though, and like you I feel that the reputation of the Royal Mint is at rock bottom due to the terrible quality control. I thought long before committing to the Royal Tudor Beasts for that reason.

The Royal mint should lose their Royal charter until they get their act together. Just call it the Taffy Mint and then we can lower our expectations.

Hey, that's not very woke, do you mean toffee mint? We must watch our racism these days, you know!

Bonnie King Charlie indeed. He should complain to the mint too. They treated his Mum a wee bit better.

I thought Taffy was a term of endearment! Taffy means beloved or friend. It’s not a racist term.

I love Taffies too, especially when they come up to Edinburgh to party before and after a rugby match, they are a wonderful lot to be with.
I was only joking honest. I am married to a sassenach from Lincolnshire. I bet that gets some flack from our English Ladies on the forum.
Found a 1/2 oz 2017 chi woo on TSF today. My first 1/2oz from Komsco.

I ordered a tube of 25 2023 QEII Britannias. The majority of them turned out to be defective. The defect was a small gouge taken out of poor Elizabeth’s hair. It’s the same on almost all of the coins. It seems to me that the die was not clean.  Thinking about it, I think the coins also had small specks of raised silver or something. I try not to buy from the Royal Mint if I can help it.
